So, after a short battle, HD DVD has been pronounced dead by its creator, Toshiba.
For those who dont know my position, I supported HD, mainly because it was developed by the same company that originally invented the DVD, they should know what they are doing. Unfortunately, sony just has too much money to throw around and now our movie watching souls will belong to them in next gen.
Mind you, I dont own either of the 2 formats at this point, but I was starting to toy with the idea of getting a new HD tv which would have made me want some sweet looking dvds to watch on it, and now I will probably have to drop the equivalent of a whole paycheck to get a Blu Ray player... thanks sony, you money grubbing, piece of shit manufacturing douchemonkeys.

ya that kinda sucks but i saw it comming its too bad because i never like it when sony wins, luckily it doesnt happen often haha, but i'm gettin a BD so i'm not so worried
