Making Scotty Weep

Ok, so Scotty decided to spend way too much money on his computer, I wont go into details, lets just say he could find better things to spend THAT amount of money on.
So, in my infinite need to make people see the error of their ways, I went to ibuypower.com and shopped a comparable system and the result should make scotty want to cry.
NOTE-
This system does not have 2 things that scotty ADDED to his system, the BR drive and the physics card, also adding a monitor would be about $200 more.

all told this system costs $2954.00 USD

Intel Quad Core (4x2.4Ghz)
Liquid Cooling
4GB Corsair RAM
2x eVGA Nvidia GeForce 8800GTX 768 w/DVI+TV Out Video
500GB Primary HDD
160 Secondary HDD
Lightscribe DVD Burner
Sound Blaster X-Fi Card
Vista Ultimate

Not to mention they have available next day shipping, which would mean I would have this computer by weeks end if I ordered today, add $85 for that and I have a computer thats WAY, way, way, way less than what I believe scotty to be paying.

Bring the tears, you sold your soul to dell for an awesome computer.

alright ima counter that one first is that a branded PC? because if its custom built ya of course its gonna be cheaper, but u have a warranty with Dell. As for the specs that system is weaker because well the processor is weaker, it clocks at 2.4 GHz where mine is factory overclocked at 3.67 GHz and the 2 x Nvidia 8800's are GTX's there i'm getting Ultra's and as well the RAM i'm getting is factory overclocked as well and just adding the better video card and processor would about double the cost just lettin u know.

Point 1-you are getting a dual core, the one i priced out is quad core
point 2-never said anything about overclocking ram
point 3-i did not have options for ultras when picking the GPUs, so i got the best i could.
point 4-ibuypower offers a warranty, so suck it scotty!

to Point 1 - no the Intel core 2 extreme is a quad processor its 4 x 3.67 GHz its not a core 2 duo its a core 2 extreme. 2. I may not have but its 4 GB of ram running at 1066 Mhz instead like 8 somthing.3. well thats to bad now isnt it?:P 4.i can't even buy from there and even if i could the warranty doesnt cover canada. and as well i didnt mention this but it has a 1000 wat power supply. So without anything overclocked and without the extra juice of the ultra's were lookin at 4,289.00 which honestly isnt that far off after adding in the extras it'd cost about the same.

Also... all nVidia 8x series owners are going to be getting a free update to allow the cards to use the physx processing with out the dedicated card.....

Like we talked about last night Don, I'd take an XPS desktop any day over a no-name brand.

like anonymous said I like getting name brands and i've been with dell PC's for like ever and i havent run into a problem ever with them so I trust them and richard, i'm not sure if i'm really gonna take that update, it'll take off my video card, thats not good i'll probably just let my dedicated card do it.

um.. ibuypower isnt no name, they use the best parts available to them, and it carries their brand, like i said before its a fairly young company, but they cater to the high end gaming crowd. I mean, the GPUS in that thing are eVGA, one of the most popular brands around right now.

FYI
I went back to ibuypower.com and built a truly awesome system that WILL make scotty cry, this one costed only $3200.
This beast would grind his new dell into the ground and piss on the pieces, seriously.
Ask richard, he tried the configuration options available and he will most likely vouch for me if needed.
