CRYSIS , you knew it.

Of course since now I have a PC strong enough to muster this game together, 1 word to sum up Crysis, its amazing. But the weird thing is that all of its good qualities lye in the Graphics, and just allowing the other aspects to just behave themselves, and not let them ruin the game.

So lets talk a bit about the graphics, well the fact that you need a very recent power house to be able to max out the settings in this game should give you a good Idea of what kind of graphics you are looking at, It will look like sex on your PC if you have a strong enough PC. But the other graphical settings don't really tear a lot away from the graphics, except maybe low, there is a big difference between Very High and high only because very high has all the awesome Direct X 10 features, which sold Vista to me, when I was deciding. This game will run on a pretty crappy computer all except very high, that's the one you need a good PC for, In high I can get about 50-60 fps running at 1680x1050 resolution where as I can get a max of 30 when in Very high.

That being said if you can play it, your with me on this one, this game looks stunning, from the run through the jungle to the explosions of choppers and the dropping of trees, its truly a one of a kind experience.

The sound holds its own, the sound of bullets whizzing by are always good and the overall score fits the game. That's pretty much all I can really say about the sound, its not crap? It holds its own.

The story takes place on a Korean controlled island, you drop off to go and rescue some Americans and basically, you fight your way through Koreans to find out that this excavation site is all a big trap that will lead an ancient race of aliens onto earth. The story is like I said average, it holds its own.

The game play, is another place that should be noted, the game play is very intuitive, all the buttons are easy to access, changing powers isn't a hassle, even playing with the Xbox 360 controller is all mapped out, and it works great, takes some getting used to but it works great.

The multi player is pretty bare bones you have your standard slayer and another variant called Power Struggle that has you running around doing certain objectives. And so, the multi player also falls under the nothing special box, but... it holds its own.

Final thoughts are, Crysis is an amazing game but because of its visuals which is something you don't usually pick up a game for, but because of the fact that the other mechanics hold their own, the game works fine as a purchase, just to see all the massive work put into the visuals, and the awesome explosions and physics. If you have a PC that can run this at least on Medium or High settings, or for gods sake Very high, do yourself a favor and go pick up this game!

Gets an 8.5/10 from me!

Take it easy guys!
